Middle Designer → Design LeadMay 2020 – May 2022

VTB is the second-largest bank in Russia by assets and customer base, serving over 23 million active retail clients. Redesign of the external website for VTB Bank. Started as a Middle Designer, then became one of the project leads and managed a team of 4 designers.

As a Designer

Worked on redesigning key product sections, including mortgages, auto loans, and related user flows
Analyzed competitors and user behavior through Yandex.Metrica to rethink page structure and make navigation clearer
Designed calculators and other interactive elements that helped users make decisions
After the redesign, the team observed improved behavioral metrics: deeper page views, lower bounce rates, and clearer navigation across key pages
Aligned design decisions with stakeholders and helped translate business requests into clear, feasible product solutions

As a Lead

Owned part of the design direction and coordinated the work of 4 designers within the project
Conducted interviews, hired 2 designers, and contributed to team growth
Planned tasks, ran design reviews, and helped build a more systematic workflow
Prepared internal guides for 3D illustrations and onboarding new designers to make the team's work more consistent
Contributed to documenting growth levels and expectations for designers from junior to lead
Several designers on the team grew to lead level, and one of them took over my role after I left
